Australia Immigration Is Tough, But Still Worth It

Australia Immigration Is Tough, But Still Worth It

Truth be told, the best time to migrate to Australia was way back years ago, when the immigration policies was not as tough as it is today. Following the immigration changes implemented prior to the 2017-18 fiscal year on the 1st July 2017, many would-be migrants have been affected, especially those occupations that were removed from the occupation lists.

However, despite the changes, Australia’s permanent migration programme for the fiscal year 2017-18 will remain stable at a ceiling of 190,000 intakes. The government has decided not to cut the number of migrant intake for the coming fiscal year in spite of the abolition of the 457 visa and the removal of the 200 occupations from the list.

What you should do now?

Strike the iron while it is hot, as the saying goes. Migrating to Australia involves taking risks. Let’s face it — most of the successful people in the world didn’t start from where they are now, but instead, they are just really good at seizing great opportunities. NTRUST realized that the best opportunities are when you can truly help others solve problems, in our case, helping people fulfill their dream life in Australia.

Changes are inevitable with the Australian migration policies. Occupations that are still on the list now may not be there for the next couple of month or years. People who may be eligible tomorrow may not have the same eligibility for the following weeks. Reality is, life’s opportunities most of the time are disguised as issues that require hard work and perseverance — and that is why many people fail to recognize opportunities. People often miss an opportunity because they expect every chance to be served to them on a silver platter.

Importance of a Registered Migration Agent

They say nothing worth having comes easy. Immigration process is extremely tough and dynamic. With the assistance of a registered migration agent, you’ll be able to recognize every opportunity that you have with regards to your intention of migrating to Australia. These immigration professionals are highly qualified to give you proper advice and assistance tailored to your visa application casework. Australia Constantly Attracting More Migrants

Australia Constantly Attracting More Migrants

In the past years, Australia is continuously attracting immigrants from across the globe. Aside from the fact that Australia, particularly Melbourne, being the most livable country in the world, the economic benefits have also its fair share in helping people to decide to migrate to Australia.

Australia, being considered as the most successful immigration nation, focuses on delivering sustained economic prosperity combined with a generous immigration program over generations. Emphasising as well on English language skills and strengthening nation’s multiculturalism, Australia stays firm in taking in qualified migrants regardless of birthplace, cultural background and religion.

Apart from the strong fertility rate of Australia, robust migration has also contributed to the faster-than-expected growth of the nation’s population. According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, the resident population hit almost 24.5million as of 15 April 2017. Based on a research conducted, the annual number of migrants to Australia is 1.1 percent of its population which makes the nation 3.5 times as open to immigration compared to the United States.

Oversupply of Medical Practitioners in Australia For 2017

Oversupply of Medical Practitioners in Australia For 2017

The Australian Medical Association (AMA) has confirmed that Australia has now enough supply of medical practitioners to meet its long-term needs. Alongside, AMA, in a Federal Government Review of the Skilled Occupation List (SOL), informed that all medical occupations should be taken out of the SOL.

SOL is a list of occupations used by potential migrants seeking to nominate skilled jobs in the basis of submitting Australian permanent residency application or temporary skilled migration. Further to the review, AMA saw a surge in the supply of medical graduates in the past decades that can fill in the available positions in the workforce.

Moreover, this decision made by AMA is to give priority as well to the increasing numbers of local medical graduates and many future doctors in the training pipeline as well. This is also to encourage local-trained doctors to work in their specialties and places where their service is needed.

In reality, many potential medical practitioner migrants tend not to use the General Skilled Migration pathway in the first place. This is because international medical practitioners must undergo a period of supervised practice, one of the requirements set by the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) criteria.

Australia’s new fiscal year will take effect on 1st July 2017. In line with this, changes in the SOL will be implemented as well including possible removal of medical practitioners in the list.

Australia Migration: It’s Not All About What You Just Know

Australia Migration: It’s Not All About What You Just Know

Australia Visa application has been always strictly defined by many complexities and confusions when talking about legislation. Rules and regulations are being updated from time to time. What may be applicable now, may not be applicable for the following weeks or months. It would be helpful to conduct a thorough research about the immigration process.

It is not about what you just only know, but what you still need to know…

Immigration law is extremely dynamic. If you are not well informed about the process, you run the risk of not seizing the opportunity when it arises. This especially applies to those who attempt to apply without the proper knowledge. You have to bear in mind that if the application is unsuccessful, the fees charged by the Department of Home Affairs are NOT refundable, plus the fact that you’ll need to spend hundreds of dollars for English Language tests, skills assessment fees, medical examination and police check.
Yes’s it’s cheaper to process the entire Australia visa application on your own, but it is not easier.

How a Registered Australia Migration Agent Can Help?

Although it’s not really necessary to engage a migration agent to lodge your visa application, those professionals might be able to provide factual advice if your case is complex or basically if you require migration assistance. In a nutshell, the success of the application entirely depends on the ability of the applicant to finish all the stages of the process without compromising your time and effort.

The most important thing to remember is not to invest in something that is not worth it. Knowing who you are dealing with is a must. Make sure to engage with those who are registered with Migration Agents Registration Authority (MARA). These professionals must abide by the Code of Conduct for registered migrations agents. They are certainly knowledgeable about the migration law and procedure. Opting for a more established agent is necessary as they have more than years of experience already dealing with different kinds of visa application.

Bear in mind that no two cases are alike. Instead of relying mainly on information you can find online, let’s say in some Australia forum website, get professional advice from an agency that is licensed.

NTRUST has the knowledge and expertise dealing with all types of visa application. We ensure that you are only getting the right information you need to obtain about your intentions of migrating to Australia.
