$99m For A Stronger Australia Visa Risk Assessment System

$99m For A Stronger Australia Visa Risk Assessment System

The Department of Home Affairs is set to receive $99.2 million from the Coalition government to strengthen its visa risk assessment system.

The Coalition has agreed upon the budget to fund a more enhanced immigration risk system that will give immigration staff a more detailed information of the visa applicants migrating to Australia from Singapore or from any country across the world. This would also be helpful in preventing threats to the entire community.

In a national security conference held on the 11th of May 2016, Minister for Immigration and Border Protection, Peter Dutton, said that the improvements on the system is designed to further prevent criminals and terrorists from reaching Australia’s borders.

“Decision-makers need to have the tools to take a closer look at the travellers’ broader criminal and security risk,” Mr. Dutton said. He also added that the $99.2 million budget would enable the immigration department to identify risks at the visa application stage and better assess threats to the Australian community.

Apart from the plan of strengthening visa risk assessment system, Mr. Dutton also said that the rollout of 92 SmartGates, which is designed to boost counter-terrorism measures, is soon to be completed in the coming weeks.

Enhanced Visa Programme Between Australia And Singapore

Enhanced Visa Programme Between Australia And Singapore

Peter Dutton, Minister for Immigration and Border Protection, made an announcement pertaining to strengthening Australia-Singapore Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

The introduction of two new arrangements is designed to enhance tourism, youth mobility and firming up of business links between the Australia and Singapore. Both parties settled in an arrangement with regards to the implementation of both work and holiday visa arrangement for young adults from the two countries.

According to Mr. Dutton, this arrangement will simply allow people aged 18 to 30 years old to travel, study and work in each other’s country. “This new arrangement will promote cultural exchange and strengthen people-to-people links by creating opportunities for young people to travel and undertake short-term work and study to supplement their holiday experience,” he added.

This is a good arrangement you should look forward to if you are planning to migrate to Australia from Singapore or vice versa. Other than that, the Australian Government has a plan also of introducing an option of a long validity, multiple-entry visitor visa for Singaporeans who would want travel to Australia.

The Department of Home Affairs is set to work closely with Singapore to have this enhancement on the visa programme be implemented soon.

Be Alert: Don’t Be A Victim Of Visa Fraud

Be Alert: Don’t Be A Victim Of Visa Fraud

People planning to migrate to Australia from Singapore or any part of the world with the intention to study, work or settle there are being reminded to make sure that they get the right advice from registered migration agents or any sponsorship from a reliable source only.

Apart from you are being warned to be aware of people who are not in the position to assess your eligibility or to sort any information and fee from you, you also need to at least be aware of the rules and regulation of the Department of Home Affairs (DHA) to cover yourself.

If you are planning to migrate to Australia, especially if you are applying for Skilled migration, you need to be aware of people saying or giving you guarantee they can help you move to Australia for a fee by giving you false references.

With that saying, a woman was put to jail after being convicted of visa fraud. An investigation made by the DHA said that the 47-year-old woman is providing students on temporary visa false work references for a fee to process their permanent skilled migration applications. The woman was sentenced to 18 months’ jail and a 3-year good behaviour bond with $2000 fine.

Another instance is that one of our potential client has consulted us saying that she received a job offer and email from Australia, but the email says the sender is from an Assistant Manager in Immigration and Boarder Protection, Victoria. As we examine the documents given to us by the potential customer, we allegedly identified that there is a fraud being committed, because there is a notification that it is an email scam. The email did not contain any indications that we recognize having originated from the DHA.

What are the roles of a registered migration agent?

At NTRUST, we only specialize in Australia migration alone, meaning our agents are knowledgeable in every aspect of Australia Immigration process. We assess casework depending on the eligibility criteria of a person. If you are not eligible to migrate to Australia, we will tell you upfront and migration to other destinations such as New Zealand, Canada and UK is not an option for our clients. As being regulated by the Migration Agents Registration Authority (MARA), we are entitled to behave in a manner that it won’t affect our credibility and our position as registered Australia migration agency.

You are being warned to be meticulous about your plans of migrating to Australia. It won’t make any harm researching first on your own about how to apply for PR in Australia or any type of visa application. Doing so can increase your knowledge about the entire process and keep you away from being a victim of fraud.

3 Easy Ways To Turn Your Australian Dream Life Into Reality

3 Easy Ways To Turn Your Australian Dream Life Into Reality

Migration to Australia is one of the biggest decisions you can ever make in your life. However, the whole process alongside the qualifications to consider can make the whole idea of fulfilling your Australian dream life really challenging. As the saying goes, “don’t be pushed by your problems; be led by your dreams.” There’s no greater chance than now to start fulfilling your dream life. Don’t get caught out dealing with your hesitations over and over again. Yes! There will be so many bumps along the way, but leaving your uncertainties behind and starting to take steps little by little can help you move forward rather than being stuck.

Don’t have any idea how to take things forward? Read one to get started.

The Importance of Planning

Always never overlook the importance of planning in your life. This is even more so if you’re taking actions involving your family’s future. Migration to Australia is a big family decision that you want to consider discussing with every member. The first thing that you need to do is to be specific about your goals in life. For example, let’s say you’ve always wanted to provide the best education for your children. You must know by now how the education system is in Australia to give you a better sense of what you want for your children as you move forward. In most cases, you will need to plot how you imagine your life will be after moving to Australia. Setting long-term goals with your family can help you get the decision-making a lot easier.

Be Committed

Now that you have done the stage of planning, the next thing you should consider is to be committed all throughout the process. Your best efforts will never be enough if you are not fully committed to fulfilling your dream life in Australia. Also, let’s say you’re going to engage services with a registered Australia migration agent. These agencies will serve as your guide in the process of visa application — inform you all the documents needed, submit them to the Australia Immigration department and give you pieces of advice as well. With that being said, you need to be committed and cooperative at the same time in order to make the visa application process less stressful for both parties. Ask yourself if you can be fully committed with the entire process.

Pull the Trigger

The next step to reaching your dream is to start cracking on it and do necessary actions. This could be preparing all the important documents you will need along the way. Just keep in mind that whatever the decision you and your family make, don’t be too hesitant of doing it. If you’re not going to start now, when? Who knows, you might be eligible to migrate to Australia with your family. Yes! There will be some other opportunities that may come your way, but you must make the most of what is right in front of you now.

One advice we can give is to break your dream down into little significant steps. Call +65 6299 0245 if you think you need advice from those specializing in Australia visa application. Alternatively, you may fill out our free online assessment form and our consultant will evaluate your chances based on the information that you will provide us.

Where Are the Top Housing Hotspots in Australia

Where Are the Top Housing Hotspots in Australia

Together with New Zealand and Sweden, Australia is considered one of the leading housing markets in the world. This makes the country even more attracting to investors and migrants applying for Australian permanent residency.

According to the data from the latest HIA Population and Residential Building Hotspots Report, Victoria has the most number of housing hotspots with six, followed by Western Australia with five hotspots, New South Wales is home to four hotspots, Queensland and Act with two apiece, and one in Northern territory.

With a total of 602 hotspots across Australia, the statistics defines being a hotspot as a local area where the population growth tops the national average and also where the price of residential building is in excess of $100 million.

According to HIA Economist Diwa Hopkins, there are more than 220,000 new housings commenced in 2015, so it is no doubt that there was a very strong performance among housing hotspots in the country.

Hopkins said, “These two states have been the engines of the strong upturn in new home building over the last few years. It is also encouraging to see WA still perform strongly this time at the national level, considering the difficulties arising from the natural resources downturn.”

Melbourne, unsurprisingly, is considered to be the housing hotspot to see the highest value of new housing approved. Below is the table:
